Alaska Railroad - Denali

Depart Denali and enter the scenic Nenana River Canyon, a popular spot for whitewater rafting. Before reaching Fairbanks, the train crosses the Tanana River via one of the world's longest single-span bridges.

Soon after leaving Denali, you will travel over the single highest spot on the whole railbelt, at over 2,300 feet. You will also pass 300 feet over the base of Hurricane Gulch, on a railway trestle. This trip ends with arrival to Talkeetna.

After leaving Denali, you will pass 300 feet over the base of Hurricane Gulch, on a railway trestle. Then, enjoy the ride throught the scenic Matanuska-Susitna Valley. This trip ends with arrival to the historic Wasilla Train Depot.

After leaving Denali, cross the 918-foot Hurricane Gulch trestle, 296 feet above the creek below. Weather permitting, the train will slow to allow passengers to take photos.
