Alaska Railroad - Departures

Since 1923 the Alaska Railroad has been offering it's passengers a truly unrivalled view of Alaska. From interior Alaska to Southcentral the railbelt winds past sparkling salmon streams, grandiose mountain ranges, massive glaciers, majestic - silent forests, and with any luck; the amazing wildlife that visitors to Alaska come to see. Every trip on the Alaska Railroad is in and of itself an amazing, and unique journey that you will never forget.

There are three different routes to choose from; take a look at the route pages for their schedules:

The Denali Star Route stops in Anchroage, Wasilla, Talkeetna, Denali, and Fairbanks.

The Glacier Discovery Route stops in Anchroage, Girdwood, Portage, Whittier, and Spencer/Grandview.

And the Coastal Classic Route offers direct service between Anchroage and Seward, with a stop in Girdwood along the way.
